Welcome to our herd. We have recently relocated our animals to their PROPER pages! Yeah!!! Please check out the links to our "senior does", "junior does", "senior bucks", and "junior bucks". We started off so small, we only needed one page for all 6 babies - but we have GROWN!
All of our goats are current on their CD&T vaccinations. We have had the adults in the herd tested for Johne's, CAE & Brucellosis and they are clean. Our most recent test on all the adults over 1 year was conducted in July 2, 2020.
We are conservative with worming medications, using pasture rotation, fecal flotations, and FAMACHA scoring to avoid unnecessary medications. We check and trim hooves quarterly and as needed. Our goats do not get haircuts unless it's terribly warm outside, or if we are going to show. We DO disbud our goats who are not naturally hornless (polled) for both their own safety and our own. In the past, we have owned goats with horns and it was a battle. We lost gates and fencing, suffered injuries during maintenance care, and found other goats badly bullied and bloodied by those with horns. Each farm is entitled to their own practices - we WILL sell babies without disbudding them to interested buyers but arrangements for that must be made within 2 weeks of a goat's birth date.
Our goat family is part of our daily happiness and we love sharing them with you (the interested reader!). Each of our goats is American Dairy Goat Association registered and ear tattooed for identification. WE MILK OUR GOATS! Please be sure to check out the many products we make on our FLG Farms' Bath & Body Products page before you leave our website!
